The type of storage and disk space offered by a service provider is extremely important as it directly impacts the performance of your software product. The two major storage types used by Google Cloud and Amazon are Block storage and object storage. In addition to these both also provide locally attached disks and the performance of these local disks is relatively higher as well.
Network
The networks and partners utilized by both these tech Giants are different but both deliver content with the help of ISPs to the end users. The network capacity which can be achieved by Google Compute Engines is somewhat equal to 2 Gbits/second for peak performance. Adding additional core can speed up the performance to up to 16 Gbps per virtual machine.
The maximum bandwidth offered by an Amazon EC2 is 25 Gbps in case of the largest instance. Normally it can range u to 10 Gbps/second.
Another factor which is very important while comparison between AWS and Google Compute is the network latency. Both these service providers have servers in a variety of regions so you must keep that in mind while making your choice.

The smallest on-demand instance on Google Cloud costs $0.132 per hour and a similar instance would cost a rate of $0.120 on Amazon.

The market share of Amazon Web services id 52% as of 2017 which makes it the leading cloud services provider worldwide.
